Spring Semester

  • Private Lessons:  One-on-one instruction is offered to students who play violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, or piano.  Private lessons allow you to make tremendous progress on your instrument, and they are a good first step to studying your instrument.  You can choose the length of the lesson as well: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour.  Private lessons are also included in our Full Program, which includes Orchestra Class and is our most intensive and most effective program of study.  In order to fully develop your musicianship skills, the Full Program is your best option, but if you are not ready for that yet, private lessons are a good start.

Prices per semester (15 weeks):

30 min. lessons, $425

45 min. lessons, $612.50

1 hour lessons, $800

  • Suzuki violin, cello and flute:   Using the “mother tongue” approach to learning music, children as young as 3 years old can begin to make their first sounds on the instrument they love.  Lessons for the littlest ones are given in a group class setting (there must be at least 2 students enrolled in the class.) Parents and prospective students are encouraged to observe either a group or private lesson and talk to CCSP faculty in order to determine instrument readiness.  The classes are taught by CCSP teachers who are registered in the Suzuki Method and are members of the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Cost of semester, $250

  • Full Program:Older beginning and advancing students may elect to follow a four-week rotation of private and group lessons.  Three weeks out of four, each student receives  private lessons with a personally chosen teacher.  During the fourth week of the rotation, the student meets with other students of similar age and experience for a group lesson.  In addition to the four-week rotation, a group lesson is scheduled one Sunday afternoon each month during which ALL students arrive on a staggered basis and rehearse the music that is being prepared for performance.  The folk and fiddle tunes as espoused by American pedagogue and concert violinist Mark O’Connor are included in the repertoire of CCSP.

Prices per semester (12 private lessons and 10 group lessons):

30 min. Private lessons + Group Classes, $550

45 min. Private lessons + Group Classes, $700

1 hour Private lessons + Group Classes, $850

  • Early Childhood Music (ECM):   Kids get it through their bodies first!   Music games and movement activities for the little ones create a sensitivity and responsiveness to music that will last a lifetime.  Singing, playing xylophones and percussion instruments, dancing to music, creating movements to music, and acting out musical stories are all part of this fun and magical class. ECM is a music group experience for the littlest students that are not yet ready to take an instrument but are thinking about taking one in the future!
